Israel Lacrosse has chosen 22 athletes to don the Blue-and-White this summer at the 2025 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship in Wroclaw, Poland.
From July 9-19, 25 nations will vie for continental supremacy. The competition will also double as a qualifier for the 2027 World Championship – seven of the squads will secure their spots in Japan.
The European Lacrosse Championship started as an annual event in 1995. The final annual iteration came in 2001, with the next tournament occurring in 2004 before entering a four-year rotation prior to the pandemic-induced interruption.
Israel’s last European Men’s Lacrosse Championship appearance came in 2016. The Blue-and-White completed a perfect group stage through five games to earn a spot in the tournament’s quarterfinals, then defeated Germany and Wales en route to a ticket to the final. One goal separated England from Israel in the ultimate contest.
The second-place finish was Israel’s best-ever in the event after the team placed 8th in the 2012 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship, the country’s debut in the continental competition – this summer will mark Israel’s third attempt at the European crown.
To get the party started, the hosting Poles will challenge the Czech Republic following the opening ceremony on July 9, but Israel won’t see game action until two days later. The Blue-and-White will compete in Group E, along with Portugal, Scotland, Switzerland, and Norway, and commence its campaign opposite the Portuguese on July 11. The team’s group stage schedule is as follows (all times local):
- Game 1: Portugal (Friday, July 11 at 11:40 a.m.)
- Game 2: Scotland (Saturday, July 12 at 3 p.m.)
- Game 3: Switzerland (Sunday, July 13 at 12:20 p.m.)
- Game 4: Norway (Monday, July 14 at 7 p.m.)
The following 22 players, and the coaches leading them, will aim for Israel’s first European men’s field lacrosse title:
