Israel Names 2026 European Women’s Sixes Lacrosse Championship Roster

Israel Lacrosse has chosen its 12-athlete roster for the 2026 European Women’s Sixes Lacrosse Championship.

Nineteen nations will converge on Salou, Spain, from November 2-9 to compete for the title of Europe’s best in lacrosse’s latest discipline. There is more at stake than European bragging rights. The top five finishers in Salou will represent the continent at the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships, which will directly determine the teams that will compete in Los Angeles at the 2028 Olympic Games.

The event will feature all aspects of the Sixes format: a small field, a 30-second shot clock, and, of course, 6-on-6 play. It will be held at the Mediterranean Sports Hub, which includes grass and turf fields, as well as a stadium.

Israel will contend in Group A against Poland, Latvia, France, and Portugal. The European Lacrosse Federation drew the groups in September, with the Blue-and-White appearing as the first side selected from Pot 1. The 2026 European Women’s Sixes Lacrosse Championship will have three other groups, two of which include five teams while Group D has only four.

These are the players who will wear the Blue-and-White as Israel begins its march toward LA28:

Coaching & Support Staff

Israel Lacrosse announced Kara Mupo as its Women’s Sixes head coach in February.

Mupo has enjoyed an illustrious career in lacrosse as a player and coach. Since 2020, she has led George Mason women’s lacrosse as head coach. Before becoming a head coach, Mupo served as an assistant coach at William & Mary, Stony Brook, Stanford, and Ohio State. As a player, she won two NCAA national championships and a WPLL title, earned numerous individual honors, and represented the U.S. Women’s National Team in 2015 and 2016.

In February, she said that her experience in high-level lacrosse will inform how she approaches the tournament in Salou.

“Both my international and professional playing experiences will provide a fundamental understanding of the competition at hand,” she said when she was hired. “I plan to attack this coaching opportunity the same way I approach anything in my life: all in. The goals from the ILA have been made very clear, and my staff and I will do whatever it takes to achieve those goals.”

Mark Russell (offensive coordinator), Lindsay Epstein (defensive coordinator), Kate Goldstein (goalie coach), and Sophie Bass (general manager) will round out the coaching and support staff. You can learn more about each of them here.
